I am an ergaleomancer, which is a branch of science in my own world. I have notebooks full of notes on this town, as well. What were you hoping for?

Ergaleomancer? If you say it's the science of hating all things electric I will hang up on you.

It's a combination of maths and engineering, then split into sub-disciplines that combine in also either physics, medicine, or other things. I focus in medical ergaleomancy, myself, though I dabble in the application of physics and in the miscellanea of ergaleomantic applications.

Medicine is a field I don't have covered.

Okay then, I can work with that.

[GLaDOS, having not died, is hard at work in her study. The handheld Portal device is still on her desk as she types away at a computer, imputing her new data.]

[He'll knock on the door frame... it cracks some.]

Applesauce! You'd think I'd remember to be careful.

[Glancing over.]

Yes, you'd think you would.

So you're alive again. I'm sorry to say your suicide run didn't do much damage.

Is the device supposed to explode like that, every-time you use it on a high level? It seems like a rather large flaw in the design.

Really? Remind me next time to go for military grade explosives.

It wasn't meant to really be used at that level. It was more of an experiment to see how powerful you could make it.

Tesla wasn't really planning to make it usable, he just wanted to see if it could be done.

"Now that I have Omoikane back, I have a roughly 40% completed map of the town I've made the hard way, though getting it to loop properly has been a programing nightmare. I also took the bits of code I got from the milk man's robot and am analyzing them, but I'm not sure that counts as science. I can bring the data over if you want."

Programming counts. If the map calculates to infinity minus one let me know.

Otherwise, I'd love to see what you got.

"Its currently working as an odd mobius strip actually. The looping nature of the town gives me and Omoikane headaches."

Well then, try not to think on it too hard.

Still, I'd like to see how far you've gotten.

I'm a scientist. I'm an expert in all things mechanical, as well as the foremost engineer in fomicry, a replication procedure from my world.

Good. You can never have too many mechanical engineers. As for fomicry, I'd love to see it in work.

So, what's your name?

buildstherobots March 29 2011, 22:06:08 UTC
I happen to have a small fomicry machine here with me; it's primitive, as I built it when I was a child, but it serves my purposes.

My name is Dist. And yourself?

Atomic Robo Telsa. You can call me Robo though.

So, are those things common where you come from?

[Hey, she's in tact. Good.

Robo doesn't know the general shape of the town... yet.]

Whatcha working on?

cramschoolgod March 29 2011, 23:52:20 UTC
Ah, hello, Robo. The town's power grid is fluctuating, which is a reasonable thing to happen considering what we have heard about the power generator in the dairy. In fact, it may be more surprising that the power is still operating without it. And as you may have noticed, there are occasional blackouts. Since there is more than one power field, apparently, I'm trying to work out exactly where these fluctuations are coming from...

It might be that whatever is backing up the power here doesn't have the ability to keep the grid working.

If you find anything conclusive let me know. Otherwise I am going to get our house running without the black outs.
