And I already knew all that about you so I had context when I read the poem. But I will say I thought it was jolly good. I want to know who it's about. I have a guess but I don't know if that person has a cat.
I especially like the repetitiveness of "we are sisters somehow, we are sisters somehow."

You're probably right, with your guess. But ah, only half! That's why it's called Halves. Hell, I'm finding more double meanings as I go on. Makes me realise just how right we were when we sat petulantly in year 8 English classes, saying "The writer so didn't mean all that - we're just making it up as we go along."

Yay, Julie Andrews! I always divorce her from Mary Poppins, because of the dark hair. I completely didn't make the connection between The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins as a kid. Then again, I saw tSoM like... one and a half times.
