Elliot is having one of his rough periods. He spends 80% of his energy doing naughty and/or destructive things to get our attention. We know he's trying to tell us something, like that he's frustrated, angry, bored, or sad, but it's hard to tell because most of his talk is reciting scripts of TV shows and lines from books

That age can be rough all around, especially when you're tired and spread thin from taking care of a younger child at the same time.

I hope you know that (1) you come across as such a strong, kind person and (2) you are entitled to feel exhausted and overwhelmed.

We are still working on finding a school situation for the fall. The IEP/placement process is on hold 'til the start of the school year, which is fine with me. He's happy where he is for the summer, and we'd probably keep him there forever if they didn't have an age limit of 4 and under.
