When Reason Sleeps pulled out from the tour, to be replaced by PSP from native Barnsley. If it wasn't just the principle that supporting local bands is good for the scene, I thought they were pretty good, although the drummer looked like he was going to die throughout the performance, and the bassist was trying way too hard to be lively that it didn't really look genuine.
The pictures were supposed to not have the flash on them, because I didn't want to use it, hence the quality. Because I'm nice, I took some photos and told you to go to their site, because supporting local bands is cool. However, I don't know why I'm bothering, because the website is < their music.
Click here for their home page.I also bought a CD, for £1 with 2 tracks on it. Haven't spent a measly quid quite as effectively in a while.
Hondo were next, all in short sleeve tee shirts, sprouting slightly larger abs than mine. They rocked, like usual, and Ben wasn't as arrogant as last time. Pretty good set-list, although they managed to miss out Asia Argento, Animated Antics, and Don't Forget To Feed The Fish.
Setlist was something like:-
Keithie's Done Himself A Mischief
A Song For The Elvis Impersonator
Lola's Pictures
Yeah Girl, You Said It!
You're Addicted To Disco Baby
Weightless
Blinding Lightshows And Bad Dress Codes
Don't Stop.... Rodeo!
Mortal Kombat
Intensity In Ten Cities
Actually, that's spot-on; my memory is better than I believed it to be.
Anybody who can play such a kick-ass set, and incorporate the dissing of Scuzz into their set (who managed to rename 'Blinding Lightshows and Bad Dress Codes' to 'Blinding Lighthouse') gets my approval. Methinks we shall be supporting Hondo every tour, which luckily for us is once every few months as they're a native british band. I feel priveledged; fucking good band.
Onto life, my revision calendar is rapidly falling behind. I think I'm going to rely on my high IQ to get me through the majority of these exams. I really have no interest in most of the stuff, how to find the lengths of sides of congruent triangles, or how sulphuric acid is manufactured, so revising is pretty boring. Meh. But so is sitting here for 7 hours flat...
But this week has been okay really, me and Amy have gotten on better than last weekend, which is good and encouraging.
I don't really have that much more to review. I could do a rant, but I don't really have much to rant about. Something I was going to rant about a while back was done very convincingly by Amy yesterday, and as a result I can't rant about that, so I don't really have much to rant about. I think that this concludes my entry. Goodnight.
