.. It was a pity, though, that they hadn't been as useful as expected. Alois had really been looking forward to a massacre, and while, yes, they had gotten wounded, it was nothing like he had anticipated. But whatever. He would have to play it up as thought it were.
He chuckled to himself and continued into the labyrinth of the underground, but his footsteps soon come to an abrupt halt. In the distance is the distinct sound of someone, or something, crying. His curiosity peaks, abruptly, since he can't imagine anybody else having dared to make the descent into the recesses of the castle, especially at a time like this, but low and behold he finds a feminine figure huddled in a corner.
Keeping a safe distance, for now, Alois simply watches the display. It is one of the ❝special❞ ( ... )

Hmm.. This did potentially pose as a conflict of interest. Torn between his duties to the school and his duties to his Master......
Perhaps he could split the difference. The Master could have his fun... so long as Claude stepped in and made sure no one was too terribly maimed. At least not beyond the repair of the local hospital wing.

He had, more or less, forced the students into kiting the Inferi for all of two reasons :: one; He didn't like them and two; He had felt like it. But for all the Inferi that he had seen, this one was different. All of the others went out of their way to attack, but she just sat there and bawled.
It sucked that all of the other kids had been wasted on, what others believed to be, Special Inferi when, right here, was the epitome of the word. Hindsight was always twenty twenty though. Hnph. He huffed and slammed his journal shut whilst looking to the Witch. He didn't think that he would be able to convince the others or returning to the Dungeons to play with this one. Shit.

The undeniable sound of sobbing was first to reach his ears. The witch, his master's new pet. Glancing at the blood in the hallway, Claude looked entirely disinterested. Such low quality specimens, his Master's blood was not among these scents.
Careful not to make any sudden movements, or sounds he appears by his Master's side.

In spite of having captivated him earlier, even that bitch would be humbled by Claude's presence. He leant into him, and coiled his arms around his waist. "I couldn't convince the others to stay, Claude." It was quite clear that he was disappointed. ".. the other Inferi decided to chase them away." He refrained from chuckling, again, and stepped away from Claude.
He moved closer to the Witch whose sobs continued uninterrupted. "It's different, Claude." He picks up a rock and tosses it up into the air, ".. all the other Inferi attack on sight, but this one doesn't. Is she fucken broken?" He is so tempted to hurl the rock at the back of her head just to shut her the fuck up. It was beginning to drive him nuts. "What does she have to cry about, ..?"

Lets out a frustrated sigh and presses harder into Claude. Mm. He doesn't have a clear sense of personal space, but prob. wouldn't care otherwise. Can't help but smile as Claude puts an arm around him and so, whilst hiding his face, Alois, idly, starts tracing the pattern of a web into the Butlers' side. ".. what a waste, Claude. I expected more of the ol' bag."
He shifts, and returns attention back to the Witch. Hn. What's this? He wafts a brow as Claude keeps him from throwing the stone. aw, Come on! He hadn't done anything .. yet. But nevertheless Alois listens, though, on occasion he throws a glance back at it. ".. always bemoaning their .." He echoes, fist clenching around the rock. Pitiful existence ( ... )

What a touching gesture in reference to the web design. "She still might be of some use to you", Alois's goals being what they were, the witch could surely manage to do at least as much. Maiming students took little effort ( ... )

Alois didn't care about what Claude had to say about her anymore. If this was all that she planned to do, then she was going to be of no use to him. He needn't listen to her incessant sob story. ".. oh, Boohoo. Cry a river. Build a bridge. and Get the fuck over it." Alois turned up his nose and looked aside as she came screaming down the corridor. He couldn't wait until Claude splattered that shrill little harpy all over the walls.
But what happened next surprised him. "Claude!" It didn't matter whether, or not, it was on purpose, he never wanted to see Claude hurt. That bitch would pay.
"Kill her. Kill her now." His wand was in hand not a moment later, and Alois cast Incendio! over and over and over and over. With each and every cast the spell ( ... )

His master was clearly not impressed with his find any longer, it looked like it was high time to dispense of it. There wasn't even the slightest trace of fear in the boy's voice as he dismissed the Inferi in it's entirety. He may as well have been waving off a persistent door-to-door salesman and not a potential lethal threat. Claude almost felt proud.

Perhaps Claude had misinterpreted what they were trying to accomplish here. Apparently his master did not care to see what the Inferi could actually do. Shouting his name had caused him to take pause but the following order needed no repetition.
The fire spells came rapidly, anger causing them to burn with increased furiosity. If he kept this up there would be nothing left for Claude to kill. "Master..". It was really only a scratch, it didn't ( ... )

N- No. It was NOT just a scratch. Idiot. That stupid bitch had marred your perfection, Claude, and for that she had to pay!
Alois frowned as the Butler knealt before him, because now he was able to get a better look at the wound that she had inflicted on him. He knew that it meant little to a Demon, but still. "I wasn't worried about her, Claude. I was worried about you."
Reaching out, Alois trailed his fingertips along the blood ridden gash. "Just look at what she did to you, .." Lifting his gaze, a smirk crossed his lips- "Claude." -and without warning, Alois' fingers slid into the wound. "It's just so .. disgusting. I wonder how deep it goes." He set a hand on Claude's shoulder as, tentatively, he tried to worm his fingers deeper inside of it.

Regardless, she has paid for it now.
Worried about me. "I apologize then, for appearing inadequate in your eyes. I assure you, I was in total control of the situation". That must have been it. Alois confidence in his butler must have faltered do to that particular exchange. "I thought you wanted to test her raw power, before subjecting the ... others to her. I was mistaken". He bowed his head slightly further.
Claude didn't make any attempt to pull away when Alois reached out and touched him. Their eyes momentarily met before-- the boys fingers spontaneously plunged into his chest. "Mast-er--," He exclaimed, mouth gaping open in surprise for a few moments. It was more than a little discomforting, as the child worked on sating his curiosity. His interference encouraged more blood to gush from the gash. " ( ... )

Damn right she did. Stupid bitch.
"What? No! Claude that isn't it." He trails off. He never saw Claude as inadequate. Quite the opposite in fact. He just couldn't stand watching that thing harm his Claude. That's his job. Sebastian's, too. "Just forget about that. Not only had that thing made an unworthy adversary, but she would have made an unworthy pet. I deserve only the best." .. which is why I have you ( ... )

That wasn't it? Then what was it?. Claude looked toward Alois for some sort of clarification, yet there was none to be had. No matter what the reasoning, things had not gone as smoothly as he had anticipated that they would have. "Yes, highness. You do deserve the best.." He agreed, completely missing any of the underpinnings.
That was an accurate assumption about the wound in question. To a demon it was nothing. Finally, the digits made their way out of his person relieving some of the additional pressure. He remained silent as the boy moved his hand towards his lips, fairly certain of what was to come. Sure enough, Alois had taken it upon himself to sample the blood. Raising one hand, Claude removed the glove with the other to reveal his corresponding symbol. He made no comment about the flavor of his own blood, at least, it was to his master's liking.

Had... the boy really seen fellow students... murdered?! There would have been no reason to lie about such a thing. Who would have?

Alois had sort of lied about witnessing a slaughter. He had been there, but it hadn't been the other students to meet such an untimely end. No. It had been the Inferi, but He was sure to maim them beyond all discernity so he could fool the assistant Caretaker into believing otherwise ( ... )
