Hullo, Hogwarts! I'm Dr. John Smith, and I've just recently been hired as your new professor of Time Magic. Now, you're all probably wondering who I am, so let's see, where to start... I'm a Hogwarts graduate, of course, proud Gryffindor, and an alumnus of Cambridge University - I've got a doctorate in Quantum Mechanics, so I'd prefer it if you addressed me as "Dr. Smith" instead of "Prof. Smith," if you don't mind.
Now, just to give me an idea of where you all are at, I'd like to know whether any of you have any sort of experience with this type of magic, and also if any of you have ever had any sort of muggle education, especially in the sciences. If you haven't, a little bit of what your idea of it is might be a help, too.
Oh! And feathers. If any of you happen to have any spare feathers, broken quills, that sort of thing, I'd be more than wiling to take them off your hands.
