Being Erica 1x13
Well, I figured it was about time for me to talk, at least a little bit, about the episode that is such win. So because most of my American friends have not seen, here's a cut!
Well, going in and knowing that the episode's title is "Leo" right away gave me a big clue that Erica would go back to the time that her brother died. Did we know before this episode that it happened in a barn? Because I remember making a spec that Leo's death had to do with why Erica wasn't fond of motorcycles, but if that's was known before, just scrap that.
I had figured that Erica would warn her brother, stop it from happening. That's what happens. She goes back. She screws it up somehow and by the end, she's made it better for the immediate future of the time she's in and for her present life (here in 2009 if that's when this show happens.. the timeline on this show gets a bit confusing, I think) further down the line.
What I hadn't particularly planned on was the aftermath though I should have suspected at least a little bit of it. Especially after rewatching "Such a Perfect Day" (episode 7) on SoapNET Thursday night. We've seen Dr. Tom latch out at Erica before.
And that cliffhanger. Damn. I cannot wait for season 2 to see what Naadiah brings to the table, if she's going to replace Dr. Tom for long. The whole dynamic of the show has changed and I for one am looking forward to what comes in season 2. My only hope is that I'll be in the States long enough to start seeing what will happen! Since CBC is apparently going to start season 2 in September and that's the month I plan to head to New Zealand. Who knows how long it'll take for me to get situated with Internet and everything?
