ferrets and tortoises

I went to see ferret racing over the weekend. It wasn't very good, but it did make me think about owning a ferret or two ... Not now, but as a future possibility.

And who says tortoises can't be cute? THIS makes me want a tortoise badly.

I broached the subject with Mr Squashy but he said no. :-(

I love turtles so much! But man, lemme tell you do ferrets freak me out. My sister's kids have one and it just makes me nervous. I mean, it's friendly and all, but my hind-brain screams at me the whole time that OMGIT'SGONNABITEME!!! No matter how much I tell it that no, it is a nice ferret and look at how cute it is while it's playing (BITE BITE BITE).

i just adore them, can't you just get one and superglue some branches to its shell? lob it into the garden and claim its a triffid, Mr Squashy will never clock.

My vote is for tortoises, not ferrets! Sure, tortoises are harder to make a habitat for, but they won't eat your face in your sleep.....
