Not to get too philosophical..ratspyApril 25 2006, 20:49:01 UTC
P.H. seems to appeal to many of my female(by gender culture) friends because he represents a unapologetic dominant behavior that is, more often than not, lacking in the modern american male.

Do you really think so? I think there are too MANY unapologetic dominant men out there and that's what's so effing wrong with the world today. But that's just me.
There is nothing wrong with a woman choosing to take a more submissive role. I love being the girl in the relationship. And I like a man to be a man.
I idolize the traditional suburban housewife. I want to be just like June Cleaver from Leave it to Beaver when I grow up. :)
June was portrayed as the archetypical suburban mother, as she was often in the kitchen and was always cheerful and ready with a plate of cookies. She was famous for always being dressed up as if to host a party, even when relaxing around the house. The pearls around her neck accompanied her in almost every scene, even when she was gardening.
id never played the games, but i watched my brother play them. and i liked it a lot. especially when the little demon child was dancing in that lady's blood :) woo!
I really liked it...I will probably go to see it at least once more. I am wondering if we actually understood the film correctly though. I mean what are the chances that we are the only ones in our theatre who did? hmmm probably pretty good. never mind! I am now going to make some Pennsylvania Dutch food and have some hardcore sex...with myself. *cough*
The end of the film was very "asian"...or actually just "foreign" in general. It was definitely something like what we would see at the Film Festival. I think that is why it was so easy for us to understand the end. And the fact that everyone else is just stupid. God, we rock.

You should look for the film Shadow: Dead Riot if you can find it.

It all goes back to the basics.

I pretty much know so.
I'm not stating any agreement with it on an ethical basis, but what is, is..
If I had my way, all of that dominant/submissive claptrap would be done away with entirely, but my opinion isn't hip right now.
