Where have I heard "Red Dwarf" before?

Probably from some nerd. It's a British sci fi comedy from the 90s. When I was in high school, the local PBS affiliate used to play fundraising marathons, and I would sit and watch for hours and hours. When my brother's girlfriend bought me the first DVD set for Christmas a couple years ago, I actually jumped up and started dancing, I was so excited.

Red Dwarf is made of win. I love that show so much.

ST:TNG is abosultely the best of the ST series, though I think DS9 is also brilliant. I love them all actually in their own ways - except Enterprise.

I'm really only familiar with TOS and TNG, but I'll probably get around to watching the others eventually. I have nothing better to do :-P

I have to agree, I think DS9 was right up there with TNG, I actually kinda like it better. The progressive story line I found to lock me in unlike TNG's random episodes. They went a different direction on showing how conflict on the edge of non space may not align with the perfect harmony of Earth. It was a brilliant show. BUT... TNG did introduce Q, and that = win.

I love TNG, Picard is the best! Firefly and Serenity are of course awesome! I'm not sure if anyone considers it true sci fi, but have you watched Fringe? I love that show, it's definitely my new favorite show.

No, I haven't seen it, but I've heard good things from multiple sources.

Do you read science fiction books too?

I don't read.

I just lied to you. I apologize.

I do occasionally read sci-fi books, but not that often. I've read a bit by Ray Bradbury, Isaac Asimov, Orson Scott Card, Philip Dick, a lot by Kurt Vonnegut (though I'm not sure I would usually classify his books as sci-fi), and just finished A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. And some other books as well.

Why? What do you want from me?
