How come being a teenager has to be so damn difficult? I mean ya you're sposed to learn about yourself and life all that happy horse shit but there has got to be an easier way. My hormone levels are like freakin out which got me into A LOT of trouble and is now comin back to bite me in the ass. An explanation you say? sure......i ended up

I figured since you took the energy to write all that out you might have wanted a response. My response is that you're definitely not a bad person. Props to you for calling Herbie and telling him you weren't avoiding him. That probably meant a lot more to Herbie than he admitted to you. Further more, don't beat yourself up. You ARE in fact a teenager, and all these feelings will soon pass I suspect. In the mean time, if you really want to keep Herbie as a friend, you should call him and ask him to hang out (or when you go pick up your sunglasses, say, "hey, while I'm here, would you want to go do lunch sometime??"), and perhaps talk with him about the whole "he wanted a long term relationship and I didn't." See if he can see you beyond girlfriend material, and if you really don't want to keep Herbie as a friend, like perhaps you can just see the two of you going off in different directions, then do your own thing. I think you know best thought Shawna, do what feels right to you. Maybe you didn't even want a response and just

thanx...i definately think that asking him to hang out would be a good idea. i think i'm just afraid that he'll say "no" and then i'll feel even worse cuz he really was one of my best friends. and as to us going our seperate ways...i don't know how much that would really work as Herbie is in Camerata and also my french class and therefore will see him everyday and be reminded of what i did....i dunno. maybe i'm blowing it out of proportion...i just liked it when boys weren't an issue for me.
