I have never been one for nicknames, or at least I haven't really had many applied to me. thaliachaunacy has been mildly successful in naming me Lou, I will recognize it as a nickname and respond to it, but she is the only one who ever uses it, so I'd not sure if I really counts. My grandmother will also refer to you as Miss Jane- just like she calls me Miss Chris. I have given up fighting it. Just like I let her call me Young Lady.

I nickname can still work if only one person uses it. However, that also makes it easier to stop than others, if you wish to.

Note: Lou beats the pants off of Crispy Critters, which my mother still uses and I have almost completely disabused my sister of any notion that she is allowed to use.

Less scary then you think. There was a breakfast cereal by that name when I was younger (Read:3), and when the commercial came on I would get all excited because I thought it was my cereal given the beginning of the name similarities... and therefore stupid nickname. My mother generally only calls me Crispy these days, which you might have heard her do...
