Where did everybody go? I have almost 60 people on my f-list, and I only see about 8 of them posting xD Not that I can talk about regular posting, nor am I actually complaining... its interesting to me though. LJ does seem to be dying a very slow death. Everyone seems to be migrating to one site or another. I imagine I will too eventually... I'm ( Read more... )

Ah, blogging isn't for everyone. What really happens on LJ, besides attrition and competition from other sites, is that people join, have high hopes and big plans about updating every day, and then get bored and give up. Long form writing and picture posting isn't for everyone.

True. People start them, go for awhile and then probably just get bored. I did a couple times over the past few years, and for awhile I kept this alive just to stay in the comms I was in xD And as you can see, I'm terrible at it too, LOL- I like it, but at the same time it feels weird writing about what I do with my time and expecting other people to be interested!

Facebook is popular because you don't have to do much and it is easy to auto upload photos. Tumblr, you just reblog things. Twitter, which you might think was easy, you also need to produce content, so it is a lot of celebrities, and a lot of regular people who start and never update.
