Absolute emotional roller coaster tonight that I don't even want to explain. Suffice to say that it started with the news that Leon's mom is about to die and led to me feeling absolutely miserable in ways I don't understand

I really don't know why I'm so upset; is it for Leon? For his mom? For his family? For me? For something else entirely?Does it have to be just one thing? Leon, his mom, and his family were a major part of your life for a while, and that connection doesn't just disappear overnight. You probably are upset for Leon because you know he's a good person who doesn't deserve to lose a parent this soon. You are probably upset for his mom because you like her and know that she's got more to do on this earth. You probably don't want to imagine anyone in his family going through the pain you know is coming.And you're probably upset for yourself because your plate is already full and you're wondering how you can handle everything I just mentioned on top of everything else going on. And hey, it's a loss for you too, even if you're not as close as you once were

I think it's totally understandable for you to be upset about Leon's mom, and I absolutely get one upsetting event triggering a general upset episode. I haven't been the same since my grandpa died, sometimes stuff like that just affects you in ways you wouldn't have anticipated
