I carry a lot of things in my pockets and on my person, but I've put a lot of thought into what I take with me out into the world.

Word to the wise: don't keep anything in your back pockets. It's (1) a quick way to mess up your back by sitting on them all day, and (2) easier for pickpockets to get at.

That's why I prefer cargo pants, and why I wish the fashion world would do more to work on the problem of dressy cargo pants. I had one pair of those (Kenneth Cole), and they were great. Now, they're too small.

Well, I'm not worried about the stuff in my back left pocket, seeing as it's a folded piece of cloth and a thin pad of paper, and the comb in the back right pocket also doesn't worry me. Really the only thing I carry in a back pocket that is worth worrying about is my wallet, and I specifically bought the thinnest one I could find.

Of course, the best answer to the problem is just to wear a jacket and put your wallet in there. Also, if I had a cell phone I'd put it in the jacket as well.

I'd like to start carrying my sunglasses with me as well. Maybe I aught to put more thought into wearing a jacket more often.
