That was so poignant. I think Sansa had all those feelings run through her mind, such a shame hindsight is 20/20. Great piece though, very nicely written, hope to see more!

Thank you so much. I'm really glad that the sadness came across - 200 words does not give you much wiggle room. And I'm beyond thrilled that this seems plausible. :D I think it hit her right as the door closed behind him, which broke my heart.

Thanks again. There will be more. I plan on starting a longer one shot soon. :)

very nice! i liked how you explained show sansa's view on sandor. in the books we see her realizing the hound won't hurt her ever since the riot i think, and yet in the show it came across to me the 1st time i watched the scene that sansa, despite him having liedfor her, given her his white cloak to hide her shame, saved her from being raped, told her he would stand besides her and joff, still hadn't thought of the possibility of sandor never hurting her. you explained it very well with this: "it seemed so obvious. He’d been the one, the only one, who’d tried to help her and protect her." :)
i agree that when he closed the door, one of the reasons why we see her hand falling along with the doll, it hit her that staying might not be the best thing for her, and so the doll (which i see as a symblosim in part to her innocence and childhood) dropping could be a foreshadowing of a future now mature sansa accepting sandor.

Thank you so much! I haven't gotten very far in the books yet, but I love their relationship in the book as well. In a way, it feels even more complicated than the one on the show. And I agree, there was such a beautiful moment in that scene where you could see the realization come over her. It's so subtle, but wonderful. I'm glad that you liked that line. It was a favorite of mine as well.

YES. I so agree with you. The last shot of the doll just seemed to scream about her innocence and show that she was still a child. I would love to have seen it shatter, and maybe it still will. It would be great to see her grow up some more. And hopefully she'll get to the point where she really can accept him.

Thanks again!
