Thank you all who tried to help me with the proxy problem. I have been successful in setting up a proxy (especially thanks to nightbluesprite's link), but Im still not at getting what I want. grr. I can get to the point where the site recognizes that Im allowed to be there, but then there's a "verbingdungsproblem" a "connection problem" and it wont

it's entirely possible that whatever proxy/ies you're trying to use won't stream that media because of bandwidth concerns

Hmm, that would make sense.

What is the requirement for someone to be a proxy server? I mean, theoretically if its only having the ip address, I could just nab my Sweetheart's IP address to use. I mean, he's asleep for most of my day anyhow. Would that work, or does it really depend? How do these proxy servers get made?

..if the above doesnt work, is there a way to find a server that would allow that?

he would have to install some software (i don't know the details) but it wouldn't be more than that

e: actually this is way wrong he'd have to have a publically-available ip address and a port you could use
