X meme/quiz thingie
Lately I've been getting excited again about X. I've been doing this about every year once or twice for a week to a good couple of months since I was 12 *laugh* but back then it held longer. I found this thing on the seixsub com and wanted to try answering it.

1. What is your handle-name?
-the question exists because it's an old meme, I think. So, squeekirie.
2. What reason did you pick that handle-name?
I used to go by 'ancalyme' but then I got bored of that name XD;; So I picked up various combinations of Anca, Kirai and Kirie. Kirie rhymed (a bit!) with 'squee' so 'squeekirie' was born.
3. What would you say of your enthusiasm for answering these questions?
I'm in a TB/X funk right now XD my enthusiasm is high.
4. How far along is your X calendar?

5. How long have you known about X?
I can't even remember... The first thing I've seen of X was the movie on the german program VOX around the time I first saw Angel Sanctuary. I bought my first AS manga in 2002 when passing through Dusseldorf... - ok, google tells me it first aired in germany in December 2002. So then. The TV aired in August 2003.
6. What occasion started you reading X?
It was actually a couple of years, (three?) later when I found out the manga had a different ending and started reading it.
7. What volume of X have you read up to?
I'm up to date... does Tsubasa with Acid Tokyo and Clow Country ruins count?
8. What volume of X are you waiting for?

9. Do you buy Asuka?
No. I don't think there are any manga magazines available here under ~15$ imports.
10. Of the Ten no Ryuu, who is your favorite?
Oh, definetly Kamui! It's kinda 'not really a choice' thing, since he has huge amounts of fan-appeal XD I like Karen and Yuzuriha too.
11. Of the Chi no Ryuu, who is your favorite?
Seishiro! He's hot. Nataku and Kakyou are pretty to look at, and i'm very curious about Yuto (since he's the only one left without a backstory >_>;;).
12. Excluding the Ten no Ryuu and Chi no Ryuu, who is your favorite?
I like Keiichi a lot and it's sad that he's so ignored in fandom...
13. Out of all X, who is your favorite?
Seishiro - I literarilly screamed when he turned up in Tsubasa.
14. Which two characters are your favorite pairing/couple?
Seishiro/Subaru.
15. Which is your favorite volume?
Uhh, I don't remember? I liked the one where Fuuma's Kamui-ness started being center-stage, before Kamui made his choice. Oh, and 16.

"Subaru... I... you..."

Same as 16. It was so sad I cried.
18. Which volume's character story was your favorite?
Back when I first watched X my favourite was Yuzuriha's, but now it's definetly Seishirou's. It gives a lot of insight into his psyche and what his feelings for Subaru must have been to want to be killed by his hand.
19. Have you seen the movie? Feel free to tell your impressions.
I loved it the first couple of times I saw it XD but my opinion dropped when I recently rewatched it. I guess you have lower expectations as kids.
20. Were there any cast voices in the movie that you thought were sharp/perfect?
I don't remember them. The only voice I remember is Forever Love blaring in the background when Kamui was cradling Fuuma's head.
21. If you had made the movie, what kind of movie would it be?
What kind, huh... I guess it would be something like an outsider's POV on what happened in X - that way you wouldn't need to focus on all 14 characters. Maybe like what the OVA was? but with less inside info.
22. Have you seen the TV anime? Feel free to tell your impressions?
Maybe because I watched it years before reading the manga, I found it amazing. particularly the BGM, 'Sadame' couldn't have been more perfect for X.
23. Were there any cast voices in the TV anime that you thought were sharp/perfect?
Kamui's voice was sexy and Fuuma was good at singing.
24. If you had made the TV anime, what kind of series would it be?
Just like the one that already is, except with more manga fanserviceand some 'Sakurazuka Subaru After' scenes.
25. Between the original work, the movie, and the TV anime, which is your favorite?
The original, no question.

I have a friend who read it who I'd talk to a lot about it (stemming from TRC and how it correlates). As more times passes, it's getting colder, though. It feels almost like we've discused everything there was to discuss.

A lot of people. It helped that it aired on a popular music channel.

I didn't notice the mirror. I read TB even after X, and I didn't bother with the first three volumes in all my re-read sessions XD;; so it never occured to me.

WTF happened, did they reset everything? xxxHOLiC, Legal Drug and Kobato take place in the same world as Tokyo Babylon, furthermore is a post-1999 world. Where are the disasters?

Two metres? no idea.

I think it 'starts' existing as soon as she summons it.

Is there some sort of fund for orphaned children? Or maybe the dad just left money behind. The Choice happened so fast that I never thought about it.

They're pretty illusions Sei-cahn uses to make himself more FABULOUS.

Kotori is a Princess invited to the ball, and Kamui who is in denial about his sexuality runs after her instead of Subaru, which makes Fuuma go 'that wa my awesome spell, you just had to RUIN it *stabs Kotori*'...

Fuuma can probably cook, and Seishirou too. Can Kusanagi cook? On the other side, you have Sorata... and maybe Karen? Yuzuriha would help too, and Seiichirou stands with a 'dunno'. But Fuuma has the power to fulfill wishes, so that should include even culinary wishes.
84. Whose abilities are the abilities that you want most?
Karen's, Yuuto's and Aoki's are cool. And I've always been partial to the ceremonial style onmyouji~

Fuuma can probably cook, and Seishirou too. Can Kusanagi cook? On the other side, you have Sorata... and maybe Karen? Yuzuriha would help too, and Seiichirou stands with a 'dunno'. But Fuuma has the power to fulfill wishes, so that should include even culinary wishes.
