Oh my, I don't know what to say. This is the worst nightmare a teenage girl and a mother can have.

There is nothing, absolutely nothing you can do about those creeps. They are so cunning and so vile in using the innocence and vulnerability of a young girl. This could happen to any girl.

It's so good you're both in therapy already, so you can talk to someone about it right away.
Take care *sends lots of hugs*

nightmare is a good word for it. At first it was all "let's get help" and deal with the immediate trauma....then shock set it.

and yes, cunning is a polite way of describing what this piece of sh*t did...and yes again, it could happen to anyone, and even checking her phone wouldn't have made any difference because she deleted all the past messages, only the most current were visible...

thanks for the hugs......

I'm so sorry - I was going to write to you last night and ask how things were going, but then my night got eaten up with phone calls...

I'm glad that you both already have counsellors that you can turn to, to discuss what's happened... And who will be much more sympathetic than your ex! Sheesh.

So has the Predator been arrested?

I'm glad that you got to get out to the sausage sizzle - fundraising and wearing fancy dress is a good way to boost the spirits.

All the best to you both

we are all hoping the guy gets arrested, but as I told my eldest daughter tonight, the police are going through a process, and we can only hope that whatever they got in the way of evidence from my youngest is instrumental in getting this pervert off the streets. One down, only a couple of hundred more to go..........

and yes, my ex performed true to type......the bastard.

and never apologise for not writing - real life can rather take over sometimes.....I still owe you one in reply to your last email!!

This is just bloody appalling. Good vibes to all of you, particularly your daughter.

thank you.

I know she feels pretty embarrassed - she's kicking herself for being so stupid and gullible.

they grow up so quickly these days, but you still try to protect them from the uglier side of life........this week has proved that sometimes it's just impossible to achieve that goal, despite every effort.

thanks for the vibes......

I am keeping you and your daughter in my thoughts. I know it's going to be a rough road for you both, and I'm glad you both have counseling. Been a victim myself; you both will come out of this and survive. There's no way to fully prevent or stop these horrible people except to do what you're doing in working with the police. I admire the way you are supporting your daughter and family. Be strong; your LJ friends are here for you.
