I would like to think I could follow my own advice, but like all New Year Resolutions, this will start to falter before too many days are passed by, I'm sure. Then again, I passionately hope not

I wish you strength and good luck in embracing the new.

I realised that letting go of stuff goes step by step. You don't have to discard everything at once. I see that in my attic. I get rid of old, useless, but memorable things when I'm ready for it. When I cleaned the attic I feel good, but 6 months later, I find stuff thinking "Why did I keep that?". And it's the memories that count. They can't be taken away from you.

I hope 2011 brings you lots of good things, fun things, beautiful things.
One thing's for sure: we get more James Murray.

Don't be too hard on yourself. Letting go takes practice. You won't always be successful, but now you will have awareness and that awareness will let you know when it is time to let it go of something, just maybe not right now.

I have every confidence in you. And I couldn't be happier than to read your next fic. That will come to you as well. And everything you've been through will bring an added dimension to your art.
