Two Fails and a Success

Dec 17, 2011 01:27

It's that time of year where life can go from the sublime to the ridiculous in the seconds it takes to type that well used phrase.

I was prompted to write tonight because of an email sent to me out of the blue.  I hadn't heard from this person in over a year, but that wasn't the surprise, the subject of the email wasn't a surprise either.....but the ( Read more... )

Yay at the success and putting it al behind you now.
Erk at the fails.
But I admire the way you look at it, so positive and with such a good sense of humour.

Wishing you and your loved ones wonderful holidays and a great and healthy 2012. *hugs*

Sorry to hear of the fails, but at least that man is out of your life and that other one is going to be sentenced!

What a year it has been for you and your family, my dear. Let's definitely hope that 2012 is a much better and brighter one.

I'm so glad that there is justice for Z. In a lot of cases, sick men get away with things, so I am glad to hear that the legal system in New Zealand is taking this guy to task. I hope that the sentence is a lengthy one.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of the $100 bill. Chocolate bars will be checked like Wonka bars from now on, I'm sure.

I am also so sorry to hear about that awful email from your ex. Receiving something like that always comes as such a gross shock to the system. I'm sure it's no skin off your nose to not contact him at all; you were just continuing to be considerate as usual. He thanks you with spite. Ugh. Merry Christmas to you too, you bastard. I'm glad that you are able to put it behind you and not let it upset you.

If you have not received my card already, it is on the way! I hope that you all have a wonderful holiday. <3

we had a great holiday, and it's still continuing, despite the awful weather *LOL*

I pity any poor soul that chose to go camping in the North Island this year, they would have needed their tent on stilts to avoid swimming in the mud.

Went to see SH2 - Game of Shadows......hugely entertaining and a rollicking good adventure.

I'm so glad that you had a great holiday! Thank you for your card/letter/pictures. I love hearing all of your news.

The weather has been quite good here, taking into consideration that it is winter. It had been predicted that we were going to have mountains of snow this year, and that did not come to be. However, in the past couple of days it has gotten bitterly cold. We were enjoying melt and above zero temperatures - not anymore. Today is a high of minus-10 C and tonight it is supposed to get down to minus-20, possibly even lower with the wind-chill factor. Unbelievable.

I saw SH2 as well with my sis. I thought it was really fun too! As a whole, I enjoy the entire SH franchise very much. I love the Guy Richie films, I love the BBC Sherlock modern interpretation, as well as the older versions and the stories themselves. Heck, one of my favourite Disney movies is The Great Mouse Dectective (Basil of Baker Street). :D
