On Monday, I walked out of Benton talking to Kathleen and Dan as usual. Ian caught up to us (with a nice bang after jumping over the railing from partway up the stairs). In general, though, people work. They have responsibilities. A lot of time, relationships develop through those responsibilities coinciding. How many friendships do you know of that didn't sprout from two people having spent a lot of time together? Beyond that, though, you have to plan to do fun activities with people. The movie theater business wouldn't be as we see it today if people only went to watch movies. My unsolicited advice is this: If you want to go out and play with someone, ask them if they want to do it too. Depending on how busy they are, you might have to plan it in advance, though, and that's probably not.
Another piece of advice: Hang out with people you feel like you can be yourself around. It's no fun to have to hide parts of yourself from your friends. This is probably "silly", in your parlance.
