I stayed at home on Black Friday like the coward I am. Will probably go to MuleWart's tomorrow to stock up on a few staple items though. Hubby asked me once why I have several sets of measuring cups and I told him that when you get to cooking, the last thing you want to have to do is stop to wash out a measuring cup so that you can reuse it. Measuring cups in good condition are one thing I keep an eye out for whenever I go to the Goodwill store. I love your bee and daisy icon! How are your bees doing? Do you have snow yet? We still have green grass and today it hit 66F here. :)
I have three measuring cups of different sizes (1 cup, 2 cups, 4 cups)... I needed an extra for melting wax and thankfully this one was on sale @ the local supermarket. I can never seem to find them @ Goodwill, at least not the pyrex ones, and i don't trust any other.
it's supposed to be in the mid 60s today, but I'm not sure whats left blooming really. We have a few roses but they're few and far inbetween, the snow pretty much put the kibosh on most of the blooms
The little shrub roses at one of the local strip malls--the knockout types I'm guessing--are still blooming steadily and the flowers are in good shape. My own roses still have green leaves even though they aren't flowering any more. My tri-colored sage plant is still alive and well. I'm beginning to think that maybe I should bring him inside for the winter since he's so valiently determined to live. :)
