that is amazing! i love the different types of notes you are using, and i hella laffed at the static one. this story is super adorable - don't be too hard on your inks, it seems a lot more confident as you go on! and man how i love those trees in that last panel!!
Thanks so much! Yeah, I hope that it gets more confident with time-- your lines look so flowy and lovely and I'm totally jealous, haha. Maybe I'll catch up with you some day. :]
inking is actually one of my favorite things to do. :> though I'm not too sure what advice to give? I guess just to go really slowly and make line each deliberately? One of the things I really like about using a brush is that you get varying line thicknesses in an organic, somewhat spontaneous way. What I generally do is keep in mind sort of where I want thicker and thinner lines (and maybe where I want transitional ones) and let the brush do it's own thing. I guess all the advice I have is work slowly, deliberately, and practice :)
also, I really like the premise of this.. talking in music notes! :)
Haha, I guess the "slowly and deliberately" thing is setting me back. I make lines so quickly and it doesn't help that I get nervous whenever the brush hits the paper. Hopefully with more practice I'll be able to slow myself down, get a better feeling for when the line'll be thick and when it won't.
haha, everyone keeps saying it's Catalano!! It was just supposed to be a random teachery guy, but the more I look at him, the more he DOES look like him. lol. <3 See you in a few weeeeeeks!!
