Master Cleanse, Day 9, morning

Not much time to post -- Days 7 and 8 were great -- I felt a huge surge of energy (reported by others around Day 3 or 4) on the evening of Day 7. I hung out with a friend after work, and usually I'm exhausted by 10pm, but I had sooo much energy. She made herself artichokes for dinner and I had a tiny leaf -- it was soo yummy! Since you mentioned that school is about to start up again, when is your next break? Should we pick a date now for canoeing?

Glad the cleanse is going well!

Yes, I've had a bit of hunger but as soon as I feel hungry I drink some lemonade and it completely satsifies my hunger. Of course, that's separate from cravings, which are for tastes, textures, etc. But even those aren't so bad.

I know what you mean about sensitive to blood sugar levels -- I tend to faint if I am not fed and hydrated. In the hottest part of the summer, when I'm very sweaty, I have to drink electrolyte-enhanced water just to keep from fainting. It's very Victorian of me, isn't it? ;) But to answer your question, no, I didn't feel woozy or faint at all this whole time. Amazing, hunh? The combination of maple syrup and lemon juice is really satisfying -- I didn't read the book about the cleanse (which in retrospect was probably dumb of me) but I think it explains all the different vitamins and minerals (and electrolytes!) that are present in the lemonade.

That said, I wouldn't want to do this in extreme cold or extreme warm weather! Too taxing on the body, I would think...
