my step-mother died this morning (breast cancer, 3 years out from diagnosis). viewing and funeral are this Friday and Saturday. my father seems OK. the good news is that this helps put my mother's surgery into perspective (it's only going to last 1 hour, and she can go home the same night if all goes well). she's been calling it "a hangnail", but ( Read more... )
