And I'm now tempted to combat your crappy tastes with my own, WORSE ones. XD Would you prefer individual MP3s, one big zip, zips by approximate genre, album downloads, or what?
I tend to be a loyalist, which means I follow artists/writers for their vision until they produce something that makes me fall out with them (c.f. Chuck Palahniuk).
However, I think it's fun to find out what way people like to organise their music, especially according to how they personally find useful. Everyone has their own way, and the person who says he/she doesn't have a system at all is a big liar.
Nothing spectacularly clever. Basically, it's separate folders for OSTs, FSTs, Ficpods, mixtapes, etc. Most everything else gets an "Artist - Album - ## - TrackTitle.mp3" filename. The exceptions are compilation albums, which get "AlbumTitle - ## - TrackArtist - TrackTitle.mp3," and orphaned MP3s, which are named depending on how I felt at the time. XD; I also have this "Tentative" folder for tracks I've downloaded and still need to listen to. It's up to about . . . uh, 2.5GB right now aha.
What do you want first and should I just burn everything and cart it back or put up multiple files on YSI and other services? We should still have a good number of songs on Hamayaki too.
