My mother has breast cancer.

The specific type is called Invasive Duct CarcinomaShe's an old woman these days. Only in her 60's but life has taken a toll on her so she's, perhaps, a little closer to 80 or 85, in terms of how delicate her body is. If she has to go through chemo, I am afraid she will not survive

Sorry to hear this, Simon. My Mom died of Cancer 14 years ago. It's not a good way to go. At the end she was ancient beyond her 66 years.

Oh Simon, I'm so sorry. Think positively, you never know what can happen. My dearest aunt survived; your mom might too. People are stronger than you think some times. *hug*

Sad news to read, but my mother fought breast cancer and is one of the lucky ones who won. Unfortunately it took some of her self-confidence along with all the lymph nodes along her left side. I know that she now feels crippled and deformed from the ordeal
