Homestuck - My Feferi cosplay! 38)

 So, I decided that I would cosplay as Feferi since I don't see too many people cosplaying as her. I'll even so some tutorials for her in case anyone wants to do 'em!

So, I guess I should go over what I have made so far~

Shirt:
I just bought a black t-shirt at AC Moore, and then turned it into a sleeveless black top.
As for putting the symbol I just ( Read more... )

Thank you! ;u; I'm glad this helped you a little. As for how I attached my bobby pins to my headband, I bought this headband with holes already in them. I had to spray paint the headband black, though. It took about ten minutes of pushing the locking the bobby pins in, but I got it! I bought the headband from Wal-Mart. If you can't find a headband like mine, then you can try this:
A. just use some really strong glue to glue the horns on. Since it's Terezi, I think it would be fine. Oooorrr
B. Drill a small hole in the headband and attach them that way. :)

Hey again! So...I just realized I bought tempera paints, rather than acrylic...do you think I'd run into any problems if I painted using tempera (both on modeling clay and on the shirt)? D:

Thanks! :)

I actually have no idea, so sorry. :< I've never worked with tempera paints. I think it'll be fine if you're careful with the shirt, BUT THAT'S A I THINK. ;_;

It's okay, I ended up just buying acrylic paint. I'll return the temperas :)

So...I just used a gloss on the horns...and now I'm hoping there's a way for me to salvage them, because I REALLY don't want to have to make them all over again... :( The gloss dried in white chunks. :(

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that. ;_; What kind of gloss did you use? Maybe you can gently sand the chunks until it looks even and then re-paint them?

I ended up trying to scrape it off with my nails...so the paint came off with it...sigh. :( I'm going to have to probably resand and repaint those horns. Goddammit, it took me a while to paint them. :( Granted, worse things could have happened.

Oh, and the gloss is Americana Triple Thick Brilliant Brush-On Gloss Glaze....there is nothing brilliant about this. -_-+ lol.

Okay, so I'm pretty stupid and used computer paper as a stencil, instead of something sturdier like construction paper...and now the paint has bled through the paper and when I peeled the paper off, some of it stuck to the shirt. :C Do you have any ideas as to how I could remedy this? Like, do you know of a way I could remove the excess paint without damaging the design significantly (internet has been of no help)? D:

Thanks! ;_;
