Dude what a stupid statement. Having things in common with your boyfriend is a good thing--it's not necessary to be clones of each other, but having some things you can connect over is a good thing. I dated a guy I had nothing in common with, and I think one of the reasons the relationship failed is that we had nothing to share or talk about.
