My friend Maggie/righthanded and I had been planning to cook a nice dinner, and we finally got around to it.

Planned an interesting menu. Everything took a lot of prep time, but it was a lot of fun, and Maggie showed me up with her cooking skills honed from years of watching Food Network.

To drink I prepared a cocktail of Pims No.1, ginger beer and sparkling water, garnished with fresh rosemary and cucumber.

L'Antipasto
grilled polenta with basil and manchego cheese

Il Contorno
Sweet white corn, cucumber, cranberries and walnuts served on a bed of seasonal greens

Il Primo
Grilled zuchinni stuffed with couscous, sauteed onion and crimini mushrooms

Il Secondo
Grilled flank steak alongside broiled potatoes with parmesean cheese

Il Dolce
Grilled papaya and pear served with homemade ice cream









Unfortunately, I didn't get a photo of the impressively prepared salad.
