It's great to see you on LJ again! I'm glad that you were able to do the marrow transplant. What a lovely turn that you were able to do that for him when he did the transfusion when you were a baby. That's so awesome!
I'm so jealous of you (and blueeowyn) for getting to meet Tanya Huff. I love her writing!
Biggest change for our family is adjusting to Ripper not jousting. Worked TNRen as a normal subcontractor (i.e., in the capacity we usually work for the Freemans) and that was an experience. Still amazed by the number of rumours and reasons I keep hearing, though! No idea what the future holds (who does, really?) and trying not to care about that.
Enough about me. I think what you did for your dad was a beautiful and wonderful thing--though it doesn't surprise me, coming from you. *hugs*

I hadn't been sure from FB how it all went with your dad. I'm happy that it sounds good so far.
Cons and the rest of life - this one especially.
Other cons - almost all the ones I go to I work and don't pay either. (The exception is Darkover, and it is a very little con.)
