do you know why I've never used my journal? I've always thought of journals as a prviate matter. Of course there's lots of day to day shit that really doesn't matter, but

A few thoughts. a) very well said, though it isn't in human nature to be courteous of others emotions unless we receive some benefit. b) friend's only journals used to be all the rage but I'm sure if you want to post personal information you don't want others seeing than just make them all private posts and place rants or things you want the publics opinion on out where everyone can see. c) my dog is sleeping under the bed and you can just see his little feet poking out from under the edge of the comforter and it is so cute!
That is all, you may continue on in your own universe because I'm done bothering you.
i think friends only is the way to go, you get to control who reads your journal and that way not everyone has access to it. it'd be much better that way.
i would agree that friends only is a really good way to go. that way, you know who is reading, and also, you can always make entries you don't want others to read private. however, once, a person close to me has read all of my private entries because i was careless and kept myself logged in in a place they could find it. so, i actually keep a seperate paper journal for VERY private things, as well, so things like that don't occur again.
when i started writing in my livejournal about 3 years ago, i was very, very private about it. it was amazing to me how i was able to open up my life to my friends and people i didn't even know that well. obviously i didn't open up huge sections, but good portions. maybe it was liberating in a way. but, i also COMPLETELY understand what you are saying here, and i would recommend a friends only journal.
also, sorry i haven't been able to talk to you since the first time, i have been away for a week in martha's vineyard. :/ but i will talk to you soon!
