So blades_of_grass linked to this amazing Table of Contents, posted here, and authored by (c) sadcrixivan, frau_derrida, _palka. This is meant to be a ToC for ENCYCLOPEDIA OF FEMINISM ACCORDING TO HARRY POTTER. Of course, as it’s third wave, there are quite a few intersectional articles. What I want to know is why is this not real!

Always fun for a laugh - just as titles of PCA/ACA panels are. Actually *writing* this kind of paper and getting it published - that's something else entirely. As I'm sure we both know, when you're trying to put together something that *is* of publishable quality, on say Remus as the good cripple, four fifths of your paper has to be discuss the archetype, critiques of the archetype, and maybe where this particular work fits into the literature. Remus as an example of the archetype is just one more in a long line.

[That's actually definitely the easy mistake I've seen in so many papers on anime or manga or videogames. "Lit review, *what* lit review?"]

...though I'm definitely going to get a kick out of reading the comments to this thing, too!

Well, the authors of this seem more than capable and credentialed for writing good academic papers. Also, the joy of ToC is that each title suggests the paper that goes with it very well -- including the appropriate archetypes and other media and scholarly sources. There is certainly much to be said (and has been said) about women in math.

Hahahaaa, these are so spot-on! OH HARRY POTTER. Sigh. Funny, yet depressing. You know we'd all read these if they were real, though. ;)
