I created my LJ to be a sort of escape for myself, where I could get fun and creative and talk on and on and ON about becoming whatever it is I want to become, without fear of...well, anything, but the more people watch what I'm doing, the more I feel that I should keep myself private. Why is that

Competition can be a good thing. It helps us strive to be the best we can be, but I can't stress the importance of "friendly competition". Meaning at the end of the day, you support and congratulate the other person. If competition means there is jealousy, anger, and animosity(sp?). Then I want no part of it! Competition should be a good thing not a negative, and it should be used to help build friendships. My hats off to you as this post rings true to many parts of life. ^^
