Funny to see you posting this - KR was the slash I was reading right before BttF.
I'm not sure if you finished reading Chasing Midnight, but Kitt does end up back in the car, and there are a few more fics in the series with Kitt in the car. He does end up permanently in the android though. Sorry if you already know this.
Seems we have similar slash sensibilities! Very cool, especially as BTTF and KR aren't especially common slash interests in and of themselves, let alone in combination. KR certainly has more material, though, thanks in no small part to these two authors.
Sorry if you already know this.
You know, I had not, and will edit the entry to reflect it. I just freaked and didn't even bother to skim the last couple of chapters. It looks like KITT returns to the car until Calculating Pi, is that right?
I'm still not sure how I feel about this AU, though. I admit that I still haven't read as carefully as I could, but it seems like the emotion doesn't come through as well as it does in Fire & Ice and it really needs to, given the subject matter. Might just be my own bias--I really can't get past KITT having been an android. I will take a more patient look at some of the stories after CM and prior to PiWhat I would really be into seeing is Nick/KARR, even by "accident" (whoops! The link was open! Or something) because that would be

Yeah, when I saw you post this, I was confused for a second. It was like, I thought that person (girl?) was here for a different fandom. Anyway, yes, there is a lot of KR slash, but not much variety. Most of the slash is from 2 or 3 people, so you don't get many different takes on the dynamics of the relationship. And a lot of the slash has Kitt in a human form, either via an android, or a virtual reality system, or somehow getting transferred to an actual human body. So I suppose none of that would interest you. I think I've pretty much read it all, and while it is hot (to me anyway), I guess it is pretty far removed from the actual characters in the show. But they were kind of shallow anyway, so to write a story with any depth you've got to add something

Girl. :) I’ve always been a KR fan, but admittedly just started getting into the fanfic in a serious way more recently, after I d/led a few of my favorite episodes from iTunes. I was happy and surprised to see you respond to my post! Hadn’t noticed the KR interest and comm in your profile before.
But they were kind of shallow anyway, so to write a story with any depth you've got to add something.I always thought that William Daniels and Patricia McPherson were able to give Kitt and Bonnie some three-dimensionality. They were talented enough that they could inject some nuance into their characters’ personalities, despite the best efforts of the writing. David Hasselhoff, I feel like, had almost the opposite problem: They would actually try to give Michael some complexity once in a while, but Hasselhoff himself conveyed all the complexity of a popsicle stick. Definitely as far as he’s concerned, there’s not much in the source material to go on if you’re
