Emmy chat?

This is the first time in maybe ten years I've given a damn about the Emmys. Anyone interested in chatting during the during the broadcast tonight so that I don't spam my Twitter followers? I don't know where all the kids usually chat online these days, but I still use IRC. Maybe irc.sff.net in a channel called #emmys

I didn't get online at all today except for Facebook so I missed all your mentions of the Emmys! I feel bad! Also I wasn't sure how much longer your guests were in town. Anyway, I'm sad I missed it.

I swear to God, I had this totally unfounded but absolutely rock-firm notion in my brain that you wouldn't want to watch the Emmys. I'm not sure if I thought you wouldn't want to come over, or if you wouldn't feel up to it, or you wouldn't care...and then I guess maybe I did think in the back of my head that on the off chance I was wrong, you would respond to my online mentions. And...this all seems utterly ridiculous to me now and I have no idea what I was thinking, and I am sad, too. :(

...Actually, something just occurred to me that might help explain it, which I'll talk to you about later. (It has nothing whatsoever to do with you.) I'll give you a call after class and we can meet up.
