eh, who the fuck cares really. i mean, remember that one time i was being harrassed and i posted about it and i was made out to be a racist?

you're a moral monster because your opinion doesn't exactly coincide with everybody elses. i say they can all sit on a tack.

who the fuck cares really.

exactly. Yeah I remember that, it was obnoxious.

"sit on a tack?! You're a terribly person, making such a violent moral judgement about people who suck."

;)

*grin*

oh, i know. i'm going straight to hell.

bejeeeeebus though. addiction in general is what bothers me (and turns me off). i'm addicted to caffeine though (and happy about it, though my breath probably pays for all that coffee).

and furthermore, can't we all just disagree without becoming insulting. fuck there is so much wrong with this world i am the so very angry today. and eveyrday. i'm passionately angry about everything that is wrong and i do nothing but answer phones.

woah.

i just ranted on your journal.

haha, you're completely welcome to rant in my journal. it's what makes LJ interesting ;)

Addiction is a major turn-off to me, too (well, obviously). Especially to harmful substance. I see it as a weakness, to be sure.

What people don't realize though, is that calling it weakness is not saying that "because you smoke constantly, you're weak, so you are a bad person and shouldn't exist."

Weakness is one of the few traits that all humans have in common, I believe. I'm in no way absolving myself of any weakness. I gots plenty.

I love discussion; I hate argument. It's very disappointing to me that people argue points emotionally and simply for the sake of being on the side they associate themselves as being on. Point/Counterpoint and debate are great things if people actually participate.

that Haiku is beautiful.

And this coming from someone who finds Haiku's to be dumb and arduous even for their small size.

I'm going to share it with my smoker-hating friends, if thats ok with you.

P.S. Long time no talk, whats been up with you?

By all means, feel free!

Me? I been busy until school got out. Then I've been busy after school got out. Today is my first day with no obligations. So I find myself seated at my computer, having slept til 1.

I'm living with my folks in Newberg for the summer (probably more) and not working at my regular job.

What are you up to, Ben? It'd be nice to hang out this summer I think. Not easy, though.. Do you have a vehicle these days ;-) ?

My friends all love it so far, and think it's a piece of genius.

I was unhealthily busy and stressed until school got out, and then it continued in different forms for a little while now, and it peaked the last two nights (it sucked, trust me). I'm currently trying to relax, and live life a little bit (Jager shots will be the death of me, I'm predicting) and job hunting, which is exciting as hell when you have no car, trust me. No vehicle yet, although it should be pretty soon here, my dad has finally agreed to buy me a car, so it's just a matter of waiting for him and my mom to find a decent one now. But when I do, we should most definitely hang out. Have you talked to the Armadillo lately? I haven't in a while, we were going to hang out, but then as usual we just sort of lost track of eachother. I'll talk to you next time you're online.

i only read a little of the discussion before i had to stop...

basically, people need to realize that we don't live in a utopia where everyone flits around with an empty, mindless gaze on their faces while dishing out compliments and loving each other. eventually we'll be trying so hard not to step on anyone's toes that it will take an hour just to say a simple comment. (i'm basically referring to the lengthy discourse between you and psymonetta.)

i personally thought some of those comments were ridiculously defensive. if the smokers went back and examined their own attractions, i'm sure they would find a group of people they could list as unattractive to them. but when someone lists a group they associate themselves with (i.e. smokers) as less than perfect, they automatically consider it a personal assault on them. this world is becoming too PC. don't offend someone, or you might be considered a redneck. (oops, now the rednecks are going to be after me...)

pretty much anything I'd have to say to this is in the above discussion with calm_waters.

Though I will post a quote here from one comment of psymonetta's that helped me understand why a poem turned into a flame fest:

The next time you decide to post about your personal preferences on a public message board, be sure to limit the action of opining in the statments to yourself.

You were attractive until = no good
I found you attractive until = fine

"I found you attractive until" isn't seven syllables.

Point and counterpoint. ;)

if he did it with a drawl
"I found you 'tractive until"
or "I found you attractive till"
