An update... again!

So, I guess it's been... what... about 3 months since I made a real update to this journal?

A lot can happen in 3 months... )

I just hope that Teeka doesn't think I'm being too miserly, or, I dunno... overly thrifty with the way we're spending money.

I hate you cause you won't get me a pony.

*CRIES* I WANNA PONEEEEEEEE

Hehe, I'm proud of us, love. ;D Really truly. :)

Actually, can I have a T-Rex instead?

hmm.. good point.

So, with my T-Rex, I will probably need a bulldozer.

No, no-- I don't think you understood my meaning: Moscow is boring. But in a *good* way. :) We *like* that Moscow is relatively boring ( ... )

Hey, uh, hey, uh, hey! It just clicked in that a cruise along BC / Van Isle / Alaska almost certainly means that you're getting on the cruise ship at Canada Place, which happens to be a block away from where I work. :)

Cool! :)

Really? Wow, that's cool. The actual cruise we're gonna be on is the Royal Caribbean "Radiance of the Seas" departing from Seward, AK on July 29th, and arriving in Vancouver, BC on August 5th (which is a Sunday). I've forgotten exactly what our airline itinerary is, but if you're free, it would be fun to hook up and do lunch, eh! Vancouver is an awesome city, eh!

That's actually slightly better than my original idea, which was to offer a ride from the airport or something. :)

Sure, sounds good! We can make some plans later. And yes, Vancouver is a damn awesome place. :)

Good idea to be trying to do stuff that makes memories. That's what really matters in life anyway. All the mindless game playing just blends into every other bit of mindless game playing.

This is why I write stories, music, do woodworking, and try to get out with my wife to see Pittsburgh and the area. This Summer we're going vacatioing in Vermont (though we can barely afford even that). That is on top of the Bash, ANthrocon, her family reunion, and everything else we have going on. After this Summer, we won't be making too many memories for a while. ;-)

Rudy's is a great place to eat! You may have to trust me on this one though:

Try their "toadsweat" milkshake.

It's hella good, at least if you like things a bit spicy. It's made with a chocolate sauce made with habenaro (sp?) peppers. It has a bit of kick to it, but then the milk in the shake kind of cancels it out.
