Nice story. Glad you had fun. FYI, Banff is what we call a 'dinner trip'. We can get from here in Lewiston to Banff in time for dinner with lots of camera and comfort stops on the way. We're pondering going up again this Fall or Spring. We found lots of really wonderful things in Calgary. While we enjoyed the zoo quite a bit (best tiger exhibit ever!), there were far more interesting things for us there. We ended up finding hotels with kitchen suites several times and grocery shopping for beef and cheese since it was so yummy and cheap. The Banff Safeway had a 22-ounce T-bone for $6.00.

Have fun on your weekend! We're headed to Spokane for the Airshow!

Cool! I hadn't realized how close it is. (Kinda lose sense of distance on a jet like that...)

And have fun at the air show, eh! (It's been a while since I've been to one myself.) Here's hoping for a break in this nasty hot weather before then, eh!

Perhaps your bed, too, was constructed 75 years ago from rock quarried in the area.

Have fun on your honeymoon, you two!

Yes we are-- and we have a little bit of a clarification on our ability to meet with you and do lunch before our flight back to Spokane; Specifically, the ship gets into port at around 7:00ish AM. The passengers are divided into color groups and leave in groups from the ship. The first group will apparently get off around 8:00ish, the last, as late as 11:30ish. Our flight leaves Vancouver at 1:10pm. So, if we're lucky enough to be among the first groups off, we'll probably have time for a late breakfast/early lunch. If we're unlucky, and end up getting of at 11:30, we'll probably have to rush to the airport and skip lunch. :(

(And if we encounter our usual travel luck that gets us stuck in a distant city for an extra day or two on the trip home, we'll DEFINITELY have time for a meal together, eh!)

Anyway, I'll e-mail you my cell phone number; I'm thinking we probably won't know whether we'll be able to do this until we get off the ship.

Heh! Actually, we still own the Jeep; but we hardly ever drive it anymore. Teeka will be using it to get to and from school this fall, and we still use it if we need extra cargo space, or if we're going off to traverse mountainous dirt roads. :)

And the fiddle-heads were tasty! They're like mild asparagus (which don't make your urine stink. ;D )
