Yay for semi-frequent LJ updates, eh!

...

Well, Ok, frequent for me.

So, starting from about where I left off last time...

Thanksgiving REALLY was awesome. I had so much fun seeing everyone again. And I was absolutely blown away and humbled by the fact that so many people went out of their way just to see us! It would be very nice to live in the relatively-near-vicinity again!

I CAN'T WAIT TO LIVE IN OUR OWN HOUSE. Ahhh, spaaaace. And no landlords... and room to entertain! And and and...stuff. :D

I love you so much, SR-pie! It's so awesome that you've been sending off resumes like crazy! :D I think moving to that area will be really good for us. :)

I really wish we'd known you were in the area! Kristy and I tend to do a big Thanksgiving thing each year, bringing a good few folks over and making a huge meal. (Kristy's an awesome cook.)

I hate to say it, but people are generally rude and mean to each other in big cities.

Hah. Sorry, but as far as I've seen, the people here are about a dozen times more decent than the ones I dealt with back in Philly, and they weren't even that bad compared to some of what we put up with in Texas. East Coast mean-and-rude is a mean-and-rude of indifference, not active loathing. Here, if somebody's mean and rude, you can point at them and say, "No, dude, that's just not cool."

I'm definitely hoping you get something good out this way. It'll be much awesome to see y'all more than once every... *checks watch* three or so years, now? 'Course, there's the convention, too....

Pretend I closed the italics tag after the line quoted from your post. Really, I am a much better proofreader than this when it counts... *grin*

D'oh! Sorry I forgot to make an announcement of us visiting Seattle! The whole visit was kind of slap-and-dash put together, with hardly any planning at all. I'll try to be more vocal about intended travel in the future. :)

And... while I'll grant you that things may be worse on the East Coast with regard to general rudeness and lack of respect, Seattle's certainly no Moscow, Idaho with how friendly people are. ;) But eh... we can deal, I think.

And yes, it's been far too long since we've had a sufficient hanging-out opportunity. :)

(*hugs her house*) I certainly reccomend homeownership (although, you may want to talk to me again after we refinance in 1.5 years)! XD ( ... )
