Don't Worry, I'm Still Alive... (and Porto Pride)

...Although my computer barely survived. I don't know what it is about me and disk drives, they just don't seem to last very long (two years, give or take) without major failures happening all over the place. Last Saturday I shut it down to take it to my country manor without stables but with a pool in Celorico (where I've been going to quite a ( Read more... )

Parabéns!

It's great to hear about glbt happenings in Portugal. I know things are still growing there (here too) and it's really exciting to learn about the positive things.

Thanks! Things still have a long way to go here, but we've had some amazing changes this year, namely the yes on the abortion referendum. Hope next year tops this one.

Yay for graduation! I'd wondered where you'd gone (but then I tend to drop off the radar for long periods, too, so it's okay).

Pride? Looks awesome. Sadly I was earning my keep. Though, I didn't know you were a member of the GLBT community - but, oh, Pride in Portugal sounds so cool...

Sometimes RL just gets in the way and there's nothing we can do about it.

Pride was amazing :D I'm not really a member of the LGBT community per se, but I make it a point to go to pride every year since it started in my home town. Some causes are worth supporting!

Cool pictures! Very colourful :)

And CONGRATULATIONS on graduating! Seems so long ago when you were talking about what classes to take for the next year, and yet it also seems like such a short time ago. Hope you'll find an internship you like!

Thank you :D I agree that it seems both a long time and a short time ago. I'll be both sad and relived to be doing something completely different next year. What about you?

The first few years after graduation can be lots of fun. Maybe not fun financially, but you're at the beginning of everything and I remember feeling I could do anything in the world if I'd just go for it :)

Now I'm in a job doing something that's completely unrelated to what I studied. Economic/small business/community development? Lending and tax credits? This is me, who haven't taken a maths course since high school! But the different is good, because it means I'm learning a lot.

It's fun and exciting but also a bit scary. It's a big world out there, lol. I have to learn how to survive all the sharks!

Well, if you got that job it means they think you can do it. You just have to prepare yourself to the best of your ability and be proud of what you do. It's usually noticeable whether someone likes what they do or not.
