Normally I don't write much in here that does not pertain to Faire in some form or fashion, but I thought I would post this for my friends so that A) If Sharpe is not much in evidence this weekend, but is simply Matt in a scarlet livery, you'll know why, and B) Maybe this account might help keep someone I care for safe and out of trouble ( Read more... )

Love, if you're having doubts, the fact that you thought long and hard, and knew the consequences, balancing the pros and cons and -everything-, means that you didn't come to this idea out of the blue, dearheart. You made a hard decision, and a tough choice, and I'm sorry you're feeling crummy. I agree with the above said, and you'll get extra hugs on Saturday. But don't punish yourself for being intellectual. Okay? Don't try to force more guilt because you aren't feeling enough and all that other blahness. -hugs- You're doing good, lovely. Keep it up.

Oh, sweetie, I'm going to hunt you out on Saturday and give you many, many well-deserved hugs. You are a very strong, very smart, and very caring man, and you deserve a lot of love for it, not guilt.

Wow, I can't imagine what you felt when you voiced the consensus of the jury to that young man. He made his bed so to speak.

I hope Jim and I can get up to Scarby before it closes, I'd really LOVE to see everyone. (I misses y'all)

If no one was injured or no property was damaged then there was no offense by Common Law. The horror's you inflicted on that person are a far greater crime. If he had wrecked and hurt someone or some ones property that would be very different. You have committed a great injustice, now this man will suffer and maybe even die for a victimless crime.
I had jury duty a couple months ago. I think the jury game is a cruel joke.
