Most of the people on Tumblr spreading hate are just pissed that people were waiting IN THE LOBBY. And it might be true that some superstars go out of their way to never have to interact with fans outside of a save distance (stage or the like) but quite a lot of the lesser known artists like to meet fans.
And if someone gets out of a car for you, I take it, that this person is quite open to meeting you at just that time
