Yoochun waited with bated breath, watching Junsu come across the note he had left for him there. Junsu had entered the recording room thanks to some prodding from Yoochun and now from the farthest corner of their shared apartment he was watching Junsu reading the note.
'Your smile makes all the tough days seem less.'
A grimace appeared on Yoochun's face as he remembered the exact words he had written and realized just how sappy he had sounded. He had wanted to sound mysterious but instead in a hurry this was what he had scribbled and left for the object of his affection to find.
He watched as Junsu carefully folded up the note and stuck it in his pocket with no expression on his face. Yoochun sighed, he had hoped that note would be some sort of a catalyst for something to actually transpire between them but it was a bust.
He could see Junsu heading towards the door to come outside, presumably to ask Yoochun about the note but Yoochun had to avoid him for he couldn't verbally profess his feelings. Instead of making a valid excuse, he leaped behind the sofa to hide. He heard Junsu call out for him until finally he heard his soft padded footsteps disappear inside the recording studio once more.
The first attempt may have failed but the second would surely work.
-----
'Dancing by yourself must get lonely, let me be your partner and I'll sweep you off your feet.'
Yoochun groaned as he wrote the last period on the note before he heard the front door click open. Junsu was home and Yoochun hadn't hidden the note yet. Thinking quickly, he dropped the note directly in front of the door and scurried away towards the bedroom.
He inched it open a crack, watching as Junsu's foot came in contact with the note. Junsu bent down and picked it up, a smile on his face as he read it. Suddenly his trademark laughter rang through the empty living space in the apartment and Yoochun closed the door, a sigh of relief escaping his lips.
His notes may sound strange to others, but Junsu understood what they meant and what they were; he was absolutely sure of it.
-----
Junsu walked around cautiously since he stepped into the apartment the next day, his eyes watchful for a simple folded up note but he couldn't see anything. It was almost as if Yoochun had left him notes just for fun without the meaning Junsu thought they held.
He finally came across Yoochun sitting at the kitchen bar stools, writing something and then scrunching it up into a ball and dropping it in the trash can next to him.
"What are you writing?"
"Huh?" Yoochun threw his upper body onto the papers, hiding everything from Junsu while giving him a nervous smile. "Nothing. Just--some--uh, song lyrics! Right, song lyrics. You know, trying it all out."
"Can I see?" Junsu asked with a happy smile only to see Yoochun shake his head.
"Maybe in a little while?"
Junsu nodded, his eyes saddened. "Alright."
As Junsu turned to leave, his eyes fell on another scrunched up piece of paper that lay near the trash can but not inside. Curiously he made a grab for it and smoothed it out, thankful that his back was to Yoochun.
'I love you.'
That was all it said and that was all Junsu needed to read. He turned around, uncaring that Yoochun was telling him to leave.
He took two short steps towards him and grabbed his face in his hands and pressed his lips up against him, uncaring that Yoochun's eyes were still blown wide open.
He felt Yoochun's hands grab at the front of his shirt and Junsu smiled into the kiss. He let their lips part before whispering. "All you needed to say was what you said in this last note." He thrust the piece of paper into Yoochun's hands before walking away, sure to strut out his butt in the most attractive way possible.
Yoochun read the paper Junsu left with him and smiled. Maybe that really was all he needed to say.
