Oh yes. I currently have a whole bunch of things in my queue that I want to see... just not right now.

My concern about that is that when they send me something I feel that way about, I take bloody forever to watch it, which is a waste of the membership money.

Is it insanity to dump the whole queue and start over with things that quicken the pulse?

You don't have to watch discs before you return them.

Just add all the pulse-quickening stuff to the top of the queue and send the stuff you're not psyched about back unwatched.

(You can re-add it at the bottom if you think you'll actually be in the mood some other day.)

I know it's true, but I have a hard time with it. In three years of membership, I've done it once, with two discs. And then I felt guilty for a long time while they pushed me to rate the movies. ("I don't know what I thought! I know I kept it six months, but I couldn't make myself watch it, I tell you!") I guess practice makes perfect. Or maybe perfect's something to let go of...

We're kinda in the dregs of our list, too. (Doesn't help that I add stuff I'm kinda interested in, but I'm never sure if Rosemary is.) And, yeah, stuff I feel "meh" about bubbles up to the top. Then sits around forever before we watch it or send it back. I'd say a good healthy cull of the queue would probably be good now and then. And less guilt about not actually watching it, as Dr. T says.

Less guilt, says the fellow Catholic. Like that's an option.
