Mexican, the new American

Working in the restaurant industry in Florida for the last few years, I've thought about the Mexican people I work with. They are usually hired to "work hard and for less money". I think the potato is originally native to North America? But the Irish usurped them for their own intents and purposes. Or some bullshit like that.

Its pretty sad how Mexicans are treated like third class citizens in this country. Immigrant labor is a modern form of slavery. Especially illegal immigrants, they work like slaves for shitty pay and are deported back or put in jail. Totally sucks for them. :(

When I worked at a Thai restaurant years ago, all the chefs were Mexican. They worked 6 days a week, all day and for less money then I made. I told them they should be getting paid more, but I probably should have reported the restaurant to the Better business bureau.
