This was awesome. Thank you.

(I am not really commenting on anyone's entry this round. Consider yourself... approved.)

Is being Spydie Approved like being Mom approved? Or is it like a 4 out of 5 dentist recommendations?

It means getting an approval from Spydie is harder than getting your teeth recommended by 4 out of 5 dentists.

The opportunity to be the first to comment this curls my toes.

All of the above (even the dig about self-indulgent user icons) WINS! You are still on top of your game, man.

If you hadn't taken the time to upload another self-indulgent avatar you might have been first. ;-)

This is the funniest and truest thing I've ever read. (I disagree with #17, but fully admit that I love funny-colored hair more than flaming naked Jesus).

Positive comments with the word "ever" in them are always welcome!

As far as number 11 goes....mine is friends only because of 1. job and 2. stalker issues. I'm very particular about who reads as I am very open and honest in my journal. Yes there are a lot of people on the friends list...but I feel like I've gotten to know each and every one of them (and sometimes the number is decieving...like there are friends who have separate journals for writing and photography and those are added as well.

::shrug::

Whatever I guess...nice rules though.

Like I said, I can understand all of that. What I can't understand is, if privacy is of such importance, why invite strangers to "comment to be added"?

Well...I have a comment to be added sign on my journal...but I also have my friending/unfriending policy posted publicly...here's just an excerpt from that:

I don't always friend everyone who's added me...I do always look at your profile, your journal and your user pics...I've been around here awhile now and sadly I've had my fair share of crap...so I have red flags that I look for...if, for some reason, your journal sends up a red flag (call it gut instinct) then I won't add you...nothing personal really...so please don't take it as such.

So maybe that'll help a little.
