satisfy your needs with just one stop

Life is full of people who try tell you what you are, who you can be, and what you should do. This is especially true when you purposefully stray from the pack or stick the triangular piece in the round hole, just to see what would happen. Someone is always there to remind you that you're doing it wrong, only because you're not doing it the way ( Read more... )

OK, blind pain in the ass chick trying to figure out what the last image is. For some reason if there is an audio clip it won't play using the damn screen reader commands.

As for you not contributing to the competition, that is wrong. Humor, head shakes and confusion are worth something anyway.

It's an embedded YouTube video. While I realize the visual part will be lost on you, it's worth a listen. Trust me. :)

in my experience screen readers like JAWS do not do well with Flash sites, perhaps mr. bidness could post this as an mp3 link.

*shakes head*

You know, sometimes it feels like everyone knows who you *really* are but me.

It is a shame too. Some of your stuff I find really funny (if tasteless), some I don't (it just isn't my thing), and some pushes the envelope just a WAY too far.

I will let you figure out which case this is.

Humor is no different than any other angle from which to write, the degree to which people react/relate varies, because everyone is different. As for pushing the envelope, someone should always be doing that. It's healthy.

I sadly and grudgingly admit that my serious posts get more votes. A dear friend explained to me that people don't feel they're connecting with you when you use humor all the time, that you're keeping them at a distance, which of course is true. Honestly, I think the truth is that a lot of the folks in Idol are suffering from a pathological lack of a sense of humor, but whatevs, can't win 'em all.

I'm think I'm pretty good at both humor and serious writing. I enjoy writing humor more, however. It's quite difficult to write seriously and not come off as maudlin or attention whorish.

EVERYONE IN IDOL HAS THE GREATEST SENSE OF HUMOR EVER!!! I mean, did you see that one by that guy who said all the gays were going to hell? That was HILARIOUS!

If I knew that's all it took for you to post something even vaguely "real" I would have done it long ago!

Humor is fine and yes revealing about the person as much as anything else - doing it all the time seems a bit like a one trick pony though. Which is just sad because if I didn't know you were capable of more I would shrug it off and let it go. It's just the internet after all, someone told me that once or twice.

There's always been something vaguely real in all of my entries to date.
