Duo Maxwell spent the next year working with Quatre to hunt down every copy of the ZERO system and destroying all the data about it, including the data the Cagalli had stolen. After that he destroyed Deathscythe and started up a business in Singapore, repairing mobile suits. Though he refused to work on military models, he was willing to occasionally do something on the down low for old friends.

Heero Yuy could occasionally be seen visiting Duo's shop. Having self-detonated Wing Zero once and for all, he lived a quiet, peaceful life, making the occasional unexpected contact with old friends and seeing a psychiatrist weekly.

Duo Maxwell endured these visits with varying amounts of grace, depending on how good of a mood he was in that week.

After doing his part in obliterating the ZERO System, Quatre Raberba Winner destroyed Sandrock once and for all then continued to be the CEO of the family business. he also saw to the repairs of various colonies and places on Earth that needed them after damages from the fighting. He made sure not to stay buried under work and stayed in touch with all of his friends.

Klan Klang stuck with the SMS after the GDF was dissolved, and went off into deep space with the new Macross fleet. There were space battles with high-speed missile dodging. There were J-pop concerts. There were romance subplots.

Let's say that whole thing with a certain blonde sniper who isn't Kurz happened, too. Just for kicks.

Melissa Mao continued to work with MITHRIL. Within five years, she was the commander of MITHRIL's lambda driver corps. Eventually, she ended up as the ultimate commander of MITHRIL's tactical division.

She never lost her taste for shitty beer.

Sho Musashi, unlike all the kids who were around for the timeskip, actually had to go finish high school before any further antics. After that, though, with plenty of brutal training, he got his piloting skills up to snuff, and had Connor's cockpit merged with his own, turning Arondight into a single-seat machine.

He then used it to defend the Earth in every way he could, while keeping in touch with as many of his old friends as he could.

Ozma Lee stuck with SMS, which had signed a contract with the newest Macross Colonization Fleet. He eventually got married to his long time girlfriend, Cathy. Many years later, he did indeed tell his grandchildren that he had fought along side Simon the Spiral Knight.
